Agassizi’s Dwarf Cichlid

The Agassizii dwarf cichlid is a small colourful fish, their colours are dependent on where the areas they are caught in the wild but the males are always more colourful and larger than the females

Size: Males grow to around 7.5cm where as the females grow to around 5cm

Ideal water parameters: pH 5.6 to 7.4 temperature 76 to 84f

Feeding: Primarily carnivorous and apparently feeds mostly on benthic invertebrates in nature. In the aquarium live and frozen foods such as Artemia, Daphnia and chironomid larvae (bloodworm) should be offered regularly although most specimens will also learn to accept dried alternatives with pelleted products generally preferred to flake.

The genus Apistogramma is among the most speciose of South American cichlid genera with around 70 species valid at present but many more awaiting descriptions. In addition, many species exist in two or more geographical colour forms which may or may not turn out to be distinct in the future. Hobbyists tend to label these with collection data if available to avoid mixing them and the potential of hybridisation.

We ship livestock on the following days only Mon, Tues, Wed and Thursdays. All orders are shipped next working day from purchase unless otherwise stated, if you want a preferred delivery date please contact us beforehand. Shipping is £28 for as many fish as you like up to 20kg UK mainland and parts of Scotland only for further details please contact us, we are more than happy to help.

We do have a DOA guarantee for further detail please click on the returns/DOA tab at the top of the page.
