The five banded barb is a harmless, active schooling fish that is usually kept in groups of 5 or more. They prefer a well planted environment with rocks and driftwood but still need plenty of space to school. Also they are community fish meaning they can be in the tank with other fish such as guppies, mollies, harlequin rasboras and some types of tetra.

Ideal water parameters, pH 5.0 to 6.0 temperature 74-84f

Feeding, Five Banded Barbs will eat a variety of foods. Feed a varied diet of frozen food, freeze dried and flake foods.

We ship livestock on the following days only Mon, Tues, Wed and Thursday on a next service before 1pm. We will contract you within 24 hours of date of purchase to arrange delivery date. If you want a preferred delivery date please contact us before hand. Shipping is £28 for as many fish as you like up to 20kg. UK mainland and some parts of Scotland are available for delivery.
